Celtic defender Cameron Carter-Vickers has spoken of his belief that the Scottish Premiership title race is in the Hoops’ hands, as long as they can win their remaining league games.

With Celtic failing to secure victory last weekend at Ibrox, despite being 2-0 up at halftime, the USA international was optimistic after the game.

Ultimately, seeing the result as a positive rather than a negative.

Carter Vickers said: [Celtic FC YouTube Channel], “Directly after the game, it’s always disappointing if you don’t win a match. But when you take a step back and you look at it, you know it’s probably a good point for us.

“It doesn’t really change what we have to do in terms of the games we have remaining, but it’s still in our hands, and we’re looking forward to the next six games.”

In all honesty, a point last weekend was not a bad result.

But with the way the game went in the second half, with a questionable penalty given and a late equaliser, some wouldn’t blame Carter-Vickers for being deflated.

But he clearly has an elite mentality, and with two previous Scottish Premiership titles to his name, he knows exactly what it takes to get over the line when it matters most.
