Celtic take on Kilmarnock on Wednesday evening as the bhoys get their SPFL campaign off and running for 2020.

The bhoys are top of the league having played a game more than the Ibrox club to this point. It’s so tight at the top there’s no room for error at the moment. Celtic go into a run of fixtures which will see them play a large number of away games in a short space of time and must rise to the occasion.

Ahead of the game this evening, Celtic have announced their provisional squad as cited by RecordSport for the game. Like always, this is subject to change but it always gives you an idea of what the manager is working with. No James Forrest in the mix with the winger out injured. Mikey Johnston is back in along with Ajer.

There’s no room for winger Marian Shved in this provisional squad which points to the Ukranian being completely left out of the side for the game.

Provisional Squad:

  • Forster
  • Frimpong
  • Bauer
  • Hayes
  • Ajer
  • Bolingoli
  • Taylor
  • Jullien
  • Brown
  • McGregor
  • Arzani
  • Rogic
  • Ntcham
  • Johnston
  • Edouard
  • Bayo
  • Klimala
  • Griffiths
  • Gordon

If Celtic keep winning they put the pressure on the challengers at every point. The bhoys still have their destiny in their own hands and must play every game with intensity.
