Ewen Cameron has responded after Celtic’s social media team brilliantly trolled the radio presenter following the club’s title win over Hearts.
Cameron went viral earlier this season after confidently claiming Celtic would not win the league during a difficult spell in the campaign. At the time Hearts were flying under Derek McInnes while Celtic looked flat, vulnerable and miles away from the level supporters expected.

Cameron’s clip quickly came back to haunt him on Saturday.
Moments after Celtic sealed the title at Celtic Park, the club’s official X account posted the old radio clip alongside the song “Live It Up” by Mental As Anything. The timing was perfect. Supporters immediately piled into the replies as the post exploded online.
The video spread everywhere within minutes.
To Cameron’s credit, he has taken the joke well rather than trying to row back on the original comments. Speaking again on the STV Radio Football Show, he admitted he probably would have done exactly the same thing if roles were reversed.
That response has actually gone down fairly well among Celtic supporters online.
Most supporters know football predictions can age badly, especially in a season as chaotic as this one. Celtic looked dead and buried at certain stages during the campaign before Martin O’Neill dragged the side back into the race during the closing weeks.
By the end of Saturday afternoon, Cameron’s old comments had become part of the celebrations.
Cameron addressed the viral clip himself during the latest episode of the STV Radio Football Show.
He said: “Do you have an email address for them? I’ll phone them now.
“I need to know who… I need names.
“I mean… I would have done the same.
“I would have done the same.
“It shows them they’ve got a wee bit of sense of humour. They’re having a bit of a laugh.”
The original clip became so popular because of how certain Cameron sounded at the time.
“Celtic are that bad, they will not win the league. They’re not winning the league, they’re awful,” was the line supporters instantly remembered once Maeda and Osmand turned the title race around against Hearts.
That is the risk with football opinions during a title race.
They live forever once somebody clips them.

In fairness to Cameron, plenty of Celtic supporters themselves had fears around the same period of the season. Celtic were dropping points regularly, confidence looked gone and Hearts had momentum nearly every week.
Now the clip has become part of the story of the season instead.
