CELTIC have made front page news in Greece with the newspaper Sportime claiming the Scottish champions have submitted a £5m bid for goalkeeper Vassilis Barkas after more talks.

The paper which is all in Greek has been translated by CeltsArehere match day photographer Vagelis Georgariou and reveals the club’s reported bid submitted to Athens.

Celtic have been on the hunt for a goalkeeper for over a month now after Fraser Forster refused not to return for the ten in a row season.

Barkas has been on their radar but this would look like a big shift towards trying to land a target it Celtic we’re offering that kind money out.

David Marshall and Joe Hart have also been names linked with a move to Celtic this summer.

It has yet to be confirmed by either club if the bid has been made but with nine days until the league starts, we’ll find out sooner rather than later about Celtic’s intentions.
