BRENDAN RODGERS refused to be drawn into speculation surrounding a Red Bull ‘stitch up’ when it comes to the two facing off in Thursday’s Europa league.

Salzburg had the better of Leipzig in matchday one but now Leipzig have been made heavy favourites by some bookmakers with many feeling the Red Bull owned clubs will work out a way to make sure they both have the best chance of getting through to the knockout stage.

The Celtic manager refused to comment on the situation and told the media he could only be in control of what Celtic do and nothing else.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference to Celtic TV the Irishman let it be known he won’t lose sleep over it.

“I think you can’t afford to worry about what’s going on in the other game.

“You’ve got too much to focus on your own game, and our purpose is very clear going into this match.

“We want to win and we have to take care of that side of it. We want to do that.

“We want to win this game, and go back to our very last group game with a fighting chance to qualify. I’ll sleep fine. I don’t worry about what team someone else is going to put out. I can’t control that.”

Celtic go into the game against Rosenborg knowing a win would put them in with a great shot of making the knockout stages.

With Salzburg at home in the final group game in December, Celtic are in control of their own destiny for now.
