CELTIC have pulled the plug on a long deal which was supposed to run until the end of the season after recalling Celtic developmental star Mark Hill from Charlotte Independence.

The player was loaned out to the American side earlier this year when former Celtic coach Jim Mcguinness was in charge.

However, McGuinness was relieved of his duties two months ago which could be the catalyst for Hill returning.

It doesn’t look like Hill has a future at Celtic and he could have been brought back to make a permanent deal happen somewhere else.

Charlotte Independence currently have Andrew Gutman on their books with no sign of that deal coming to a close early.

Celtic have been making wholesale changes to the youth side after the squad depth became very shallow in the summer. Between contracts expiring and first team call ups, the club have been active in recruiting new young players. Hill is unlikely to be a part of any new Lennoxtown revolution.
