WEST LONDON SPORT have claimed Celtic have been interested in bringing in 24-year-old striker Uche Ikpeazu from Tynecastle.
It has to be some sort of joke or flippant comment by the English media who spoke about the player also being linked with club’s down south.
Sometimes the media can throw stuff out there, especially the English media who tend to think if clubs in England are after an SPFL player – Celtic must be too.
We have seen nothing to suggest Celtic are in the market for the Hearts frontman; we need strikers who can score.
Celtic have three first-team options when it comes to strikers at the moment, four if you include Jonathan Afolabi. There will be no rush to bring a striker in this January and other positions will be a priority.
Neil Lennon likes a big striker but this rumour would be one to file under…NAW. QPR should make their move.
