Craig Gordon has his pick of clubs it seems as he looks to secure his future in the coming weeks.

The invincible Celtic goalkeeper is out of contact and hasn’t returned to Lennoxtown with the rest of the squad this month.

The club is still in dialogue with the shot stopper, but there’s a deal on the table from St Mirren and it now appears Hearts are ready to offer Craig a return to Tynecastle on a two-year deal according to SunSport.

Hearts are taking the SPFL to court at present but if that fails the club will be playing in the championship next season. The goalkeeper could be part of a squad chasing promotion back to the top flight if he does agree a return.

Celtic haven’t thrashed out their plans with both Craig and Fraser Forster — it’s something the club has to address promptly. Right now, Scott Bain is our only senior goalkeeper. Neil Lennon has intimated he’d like to keep both.
