In a stunning turn up for the books Hearts have sealed the return of former player and manager Robbie Neilson who leaves a promoted Dundee Utd to head back down to the Championship with relegated Hearts.

Dundee Utd are now without a manager and will be looking to make a prompt appointment so the new man can get into the swing of things.

Celtic now must be wary of losing another coach this summer because if Dundee Utd are doing their job correctly, John Kennedy should be on their shortlist.

The Celtic assistant manager has been pivotal for Celtic and was sought after when Hibernian were looking to replace Paul Heckingbottom. Since then, John has reiterated his loyalty to Celtic and his desire to manage the club one day.

Would a move to the newly-promoted side pave the way for John or is he best staying put and taking over from Neil Lennon when the Irishman bows out?

After losing Damien Duff this summer, Celtic should not welcome any interest in their coach.
