Chris Jullien has now been out of the game for over a year. Finally, fans can expect to see the french defender pull on the green and white jersey for the first time under the new boss.

Speaking to Celtic TV, Ange has given the fans an update of the progress the number 2 has made;

“He’s Training. He’s training well. over the next couple of weeks we’ll get him involved in terms of playing some football.”

This is magnificent news. Not only is Jullien a superb defender he is a leader, his return will benefit the whole squad.

Having never played under the Greek-Aussie before it will be interesting to see how he adapts to the new style of play. In the past, he has shown to be good with the ball and his ability to spot a pass.

Of course, to pick up the form fans remember him for will take time. No player can return from a long-term injury like the Frenchman suffered and hit the ground running.

However, displacing Carl Starfelt and Cameron Carter-Vickers may prove a challenge for the defender, especially if Starfelt hits top form again.
