Celtic secured their 53rd Scottish top flight title on Sunday afternoon as goals from striking duo Kyogo and Oh ensured there would be no slip ups in Ange Postecoglou’s quest for the treble.

A 2-0 win was deserved as the Hoops’ season long efforts eventually paid off.

One player who missed the occasion through injury, though, was Cameron Carter-Vickers.

Despite this, the American was still singled out for praise recently on CBS Sports Golazo.

Former MLS striker Charlie Davies, who made over 150 appearances in the American top flight, said:

“[He brought] Stability. He put in a lot of hard tackles.

“He held the team accountable, he was the anchor in the back, he played alongside Carl Starfelt but it always felt like he was the enforcer for this Celtic team.”

Most Hoops fans would agree that Carter-Vickers is the foremost member of Celtic’s defence.

He always takes charge and is a standout at the back every week who never manages to put a foot wrong.

Although he will be missed between now and the end of the season, he will be back fighting fit at the beginning of 2023/24.
