We’re coming up to a year since the Celtic faithful made their way to Celtic Park to watch the bhoys in green live and in person.

The pandemic has meant we’ve all watched from afar this season and will likely continue into next season.

However, when we do get back to games, Glasgow City council may have passed new measures which would see a parking exclusion zone be enforced around Celtic Park on match days.

It means fans making their way to the game via their own transport will not be allowed to park around the periphery of Celtic Park, pushing them back to the outskirts of the East End.

Glasgow Live confirmed the plans are still going ahead even though the pandemic has stifled the timeline.

Right now, it looks as if there will be a recommendation in February 2022 after council appointed reporters do their site visit of Celtic Park and the surrounding area. This timeline could be pushed back further the longer the country is in lockdown.

Celtic have always been against this move, citing the inadequate nature of public transport to the ground making it impossible for some supporters to get to and from games safely and adequately.
