Celtic will welcome Serie A outfit Lazio to Parkhead on Wednesday evening as they go in search of their first Champions League group stage points. Brendan Rodgers will be eager to keep his side’s winning ways going after a dramatic late victory over Motherwell was secured on Saturday.
Ahead of the Lazio showdown, the Green Brigade have released a statement. The influential Ultras group have put out a rallying call and encouraged supporters to remain ‘resilient’ and stick with the team throughout the match.

They quipped that the home support has a ‘duty’ to make Celtic Park ‘a hostile environment’ on Wednesday. There will be no traditional Champions League tifo from the Green Brigade and due to this, they have asked fans to bring their own colour and remind all why Celtic is a club like no other.
The tie will be arduous enough but with the full home support behind the team and aiming towards the goal of making the atmosphere aggressive, who knows what could happen.
This from the same mob that booed the team a few weeks ago. Hypocritical bunch of wee neds. No doubt we’ll be having a few EUFA fines winging our way…courtesy of these mugs. Having attended games since August ’71, I have to wonder how we ever survived as a support, without the GB.
Hang like your leader Mussolini.
God bless the Pope’s 11.
