It shouldn’t seem like news when Odsonne Edouard is being praised for the top quality player he is but with the tabloid’s in this country muddying the water and trying to make fake comparisons between a football player and a battering ram you have to make sure praise is given where its due.

That’s exactly what Ibrox legend Barry Ferguson has done with regards to Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard. Ferguson now works for PLZSport to talk about the Scottish game as a pundit and as he discussed Odsonne Edouard he conceded the Frenchman could be even better than his compatriot Moussa Dembele.

“Yeah, he’s a player that could potentially be better than Dembele. I have said that a number of times.

“I’ve always been impressed. When he is on his game I think he is unstoppable at times.

“He obviously continues it when he goes away with the French U-21 squad and if he keeps producing performances like that he will be in the first-team squad.”

Edouard continues to turn heads and make an impact for both club and country. He’s scored nine goals in four games for the French under 21s since getting his chance at the under 21 level.

The striker continues to score important goals for Celtic and shows his coolness in front of goal. Nobody wants to see Eddy leave but with the form he’s in – we could be looking at another summer of heart break as Celtic fans.
