The Adidas site has dropped the Celtic fourth kit before the club has had the chance to unveil the newest addition of the Bhoys Adidas era. CeltsAreHere believe this wasn’t supposed to happen before its release and tease by the club itself.

CeltsAreHere reported exclusively last week that Celtic would be bringing out a fourth kit which would be centred around St Patrick’s day and released around about the same time. This is while others were speculating it was either fake or next season’s away kit.

Adidas seem to be getting their ducks in a row by putting out the new images of the kit on their website with the tag line ‘coming soon’.

Celtsarehere understand the kit is still scheduled to get a run out against Hibernian at home later in March.

Celtic are following a merchandise plan more like US sports teams who bring out limited editions of kits for special times in the year. The NHL famously releases a St Patrick’s day shirt for all its teams.

Celtic and St Patrick’s day is a natural fit. The kit itself is said to be getting a limited run and won’t be made in as much bulk as the usual three kits.

This will be be popular among the Celtic support we’d imagine.

According to the Adidas website, the kit will drop on Thursday 16th March. We have no idea if that will be a pre-order or straight sale as of yet.

  1. It’s a nice kit n’all.
    But like, a fourth kit??

Why not have this as the 3rd strip from the outset, as opposed to that horrid grey number.
Or have it as next season’s away kit.
