JOHN KENNEDY has delivered a damning verdict of his side’s performance at Ibrox on Sunday.

The Hoops had a horror show at the back during the first half and a horror show in attack second half.

Poor defending gave the home side a strong 2-0 lead. However, in the second half, Celtic created enough chances not only to draw level but win the game.

They choked in front of goal when it mattered. Edouard and Moi missing two golden opportunities before Edouard swatted Leigh Griffiths away to take the penalty and miss.

Not taking chances and being weak in defence has been our calling card all season and proof was provided in bucket loads during the cup tie.

Kennedy says collectively the team haven’t been good enough all season. He didn’t want to single anyone out but the interim boss didn’t shirk from the team’s failings.

John should get a clean break in the summer and head out on his own to see what he can do elsewhere. Getting a manager’s gig to make his own decisions and build his own team away from the Celtic limelight might be the best thing for him.
