It is being reported that Celtic have not made any contact with Hibernian or the representatives of Kevin Nisbet [@ScottBurns75].

A report released suggested that the league leaders had rekindled their interest in the Scotland international but it appears to be nothing more than speculation at this point.

Nisbet has recently returned to first team action after a nine month absence due to injury and has scored five goals in his previous two outings but it doesn’t look as though there is any concrete interest on Celtic’s part.

As it looks all but likely that Giorgos Giakoumakis will leave the Scottish champions during this January window, Ange Postecoglou’s side are being linked to a number of different strikers after the reported interest in Cho Gue-sung didn’t work out.

Had Nisbet been on Celtic’s radar, many Hoops fans would have been left very much underwhelmed by his potential signing as they are looking for an upgrade on Giakoumakis.

Postecoglou spoke about the team evolving and continuing to develop and many would see this as a backward step.

After the most recent transfer saga with Hibs, it’s like that the Easter Road side would again be looking for a considerable fee which could likely be spent elsewhere.
