It’s only match day one of the SPFL, and we already have Kris Boyd crying over decisions to do with Celtic.

The hapless Ibrox pundit tried to put a case forward for Ross County having a penalty when Joe Hart lost control of the situation early in the first half.

Boyd, speaking live on Sky Sports at half time was adamant Celtic should have conceded a penalty when Simon Murray chased down the ball.

He said: “Why should he be punished for staying on his feet? There is no doubt he impedes him as he has to hurdle that leg. If he goes down there, I’ll guarantee you it is given as a penalty kick.”

The incident in question wasn’t a penalty kick, but we’ve grown accustomed to the biased commentary from Kris. He has a knack for identifying illusory penalties against Celtic, yet he seldom acknowledges any potential infractions when his former team appears to be at fault for a foul within the penalty area.

Celtic ran out 4-2 winners thanks to a brace from David Turnbull and a goal a piece for Kyogo and Matt O’Riley.

It’s a decent start back for the bhoys, but they will not be happy with shipping two goals to the Dingwall side. We did look comfortable; however, conceding two goals at Celtic Park is unacceptable.
