Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths is on the road back to the first team one step at a time after taking time away from the game to sort his head and his personal life.

The prolific frontman is desperate to come back into the fold and get back to scoring goals for the club as soon as possible.

His brother Aaron has echoed that sentiment on his Facebook page after he heard the away support at Tynecastle on Saturday afternoon singing a vile song about his brother which takes joy in his personal plight.

This is not the first time we have heard the disgusting chant from some of the Ibrox club’s fans and it most certainly won’t be the last.

Taking to Facebook, Leigh’s brother did not mince his words and tells everyone exactly what he wants Leigh to do.

He wrote: “F*** Glasgow Rangers you won’t be winning trophies anymore ooo ooo f*** Glasgow Rangers you won’t be winning trophies anymore! Honestly nothing would make me more happier for my brother to come on and against they horrible b******* and score the winner and shut they c**** up.” as cited by RecordSport.

Leigh is having a phased return to the club and Neil Lennon hasn’t ruled out the striker playing some part before the end of the season. The bhoys have four games left in the SPFL – and the small matter of a Cup final. Could the Celtic striker make a triumphant return at Ibrox?
