Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley has taken the Scottish Premiership by storm this season. The current campaign is undoubtedly the best the midfielder has had in his career to date.

At the halfway mark, the Dane has racked up ten goals and ten assists in all competitions. Over the winter break, however, he had a well-earned rest.

Indeed on Instagram, O’Riley posted a few snaps of his activities that included riding a camel and paddle-boarding. He captioned the post with ‘Just smile and begin, grateful for these experiences’:

It certainly looks as though the 23-year-old enjoyed himself over the past week or so. It is pivotal that players have some downtime, particularly in O’Riley’s case where he has played more or less every game for the Hoops so far this season.

He will aim to come back refreshed and fully recharged ahead of a pivotal second half of the season. The Bhoys have a title to win, and the ex-MK Dons man’s form could prove crucial in helping them do so.
