NEIL LENNON has revealed he has had talks with Peter Lawwell over the future of some of the current crop of Celtic players during his pre-match press conference.
The Irishman has been very hands on at the club since returning to the role and even though his own future isn’t sorted yet, he seems keen to make sure whoever the manager is next season, they’re given the best chance to succeed.
The immediate players in mind would be the likes of Mikael Lustig and Dedryck Boyata.
The interim Celtic boss also admitted the Parkhead support could see Leigh Griffiths back in a Celtic shirt before the end of the season.
Leigh has been out since late last year with personal problems but if the striker can prove he’s ready to return then Lennon will not stand in the player’s way.
Celtic are set to welcome Aberdeen to Parkhead with a sold out Celtic Park hoping to cheer the bhoys on to another three points.
