Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has stated that there may be more movement in the January transfer window for the club, but that outgoings are more likely than new arrivals.

Forward Oh Hyeongyu has recently become the club’s fourth signing of the window, while Josip Juranovic and Mortiz Jenz have left, and striker Giorgos Giakoumakis is rumoured to be closing in on a move.

Plenty more players could join them, with players like McCarthy, Ideguchi and Abildgaard looking unlikely to get many minutes in the rest of this season.

Speaking on Friday, Postecoglou admitted there will likely be exits amongst the fringe players. He said:

“More likely out than in,” said Postecoglou on Celtic TV

“There’s nothing definite at the moment. Players are in charge of their careers, assessing what the best options are for them.

“There’s still a fair bit of speculation around him (Giakoumakis). Until something gets resolved either way, it’s about seeing how he’s training and how he’s feeling about things.”

As things stand, there are no reports to suggest that any incomings are on the horizon, but POstecoglou can be very sneaky with signings. No sooner does a link pop up before Celtic announces a signing.

With a few days left of the window, expect the unexpected.
