Celtic has been linked to Banik Ostrava striker Ladislav Almási in recent weeks.

Of course, Celtic lined up against the side on Wednesday night, with the Celtic-linked man featuring. Ange Postecoglou quizzed on the speculation regarding Celtic and Almási.

The manager failed to give a definitive answer, insisting that his club are linked to new players every day and that he couldn’t confirm or deny Celtic’s interest in the player, insisting that work is going on behind the scenes on a few deals.

As quoted by Football Scotland, the Aussie boss said;

“No [I can’t confirm or deny interest], I don’t because I get asked these questions every day and there is a new player every day. We’re still working in the background and hopefully we’ll get some new players in.”

This is interesting. When the manager was asked about Mitchu, he ruled out a possible transfer, but this time he’s left the door open. Reports have quietened down in recent weeks, but it’s certainly one to keep an eye on.

Celtic’s Strkers

As Ladislav Almási is a striker he won’t join Celtic until Albian Ajeti is moved on. The Swiss striker is still with Celtic and participated in the Bhoys’ pre-season training camp over the last ten days. It looks as if it will be a tough challenge to move the player on.
