It’s been the same old problems for Celtic in the early stages of the game as Aberdeen take the lead at Pittodrie.

Lewis Ferguson opened the scoring just past the 15-minute mark of the game, running in at the back post to tap home from Andy Considine’s header at the corner.

For those that chose not to watch this evenings game, it wouldn’t be hard to guess what sort of goal we conceded from . This wasn’t the first time in the game the Hoops struggled with set-pieces and it’s certainly not been the first time this season.

Defending from set-plays has been a massive problem for both Neil Lennon and John Kennedy’s side. It’s clear as day we simply haven’t learned from our mistakes.

Whoever comes in this summer as the new manager has an incredibly huge job on their hands, from player recruitment to the basics of defending a corner.

  1. What was the point of having 3 youth players and Sorro on the bench and only giving one of them 9 minutes. How is that doing what’s best for the future of Celtic? Having the two main saboteurs in Eduoard and Christie (who were both spectacularly shite again) on the park was a waste of 90+ minutes that could have been given to the young Celtic players of the future. Those 2 should not be allowed to even train with the 1st team never mind play for 1 more minute in a Celtic shirt. Brown is leaving (best wishes & good luck to the legend) so with the future in mind Sorro should have been on from the start and McGregor should have been captain. What’s Kennedy thinking putting these young guys on the bench, getting their hopes up and then disappointing them by not playing them. You would be forgiven for thinking that Kennedy has also spat his dummy out and is trying to do as much damage as possible before he’s shown the door or maybe he’s thinking that he’ll be working for one of our competitors next season. Anyway Mr Mackay …you need to get these people out the door now before they do any more damage. Get Harkin or McGuinnes in now and if Howe won’t commit then get someone else. This has to be done quickly. Whatever the reasons for the behaviour of these saboteurs it’s now too late to kiss and make up and they need to go now.
