Celtic take on The Rangers on Sunday in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden.

The tie, that’s set to air on Viaplay will be the final competitive game between the two sides this season. Although there’s a game at Ibrox still to go post-split, the bhoys will likely have the title wrapped up by then.

As always, we need strong and stern officiating for the powder keg tie and the SFA have today turned to Willie Collum to be the man in the middle.

Steve McLean will be the VAR official.

VAR

While no referee in the country has a great reputation, when it comes to Willie Collum, there’s a wide held belief that he is capable of the most horrendous gaffes and idiotic decisions with or without VAR.

Willie has been in the top flight for well over a decade at this point and his continual appointments to the most high profile of games baffles many.

We’re not implying Willie is biased in any way shape or form, we’re saying he’s not a very good referee and as he gets older, he’s not getting any better.

Celtic has to hope on the day there’s very little for Willie to get involved with.
