Celtic got off to the best possible start at Hampden today, at the time of this article the Bhoys are 2-0 up thanks to goals from Mohamed Elyounoussi & Callum McGregor.

Elyounoussi is on loan from struggling Southampton and he just scored his fifth goal in his fifth game.

James Forrest deserves a special mention, not just for his assist for the goal but his overall play in the first half is terrifying Hibs players.

Elyounoussi is keeping the likes of Scott Sinclair and Mikey Johnston out of the team and with his array of goals it is easy to understand why. He has a knack of getting into the box at the right time.

Hibs have a mountain to climb to get back into this game and Celtic really look in the mood today. The Hoops are looking to win the League Cup for the fourth consecutive season. If they finish this Hibs team off they will find out their opponents tomorrow when Hearts face Rangers in the other semi-final.

*Update: Hibs pulled a goal back in the 36th minute to bring the score to 2-1. That was before the main man, Elyounoussi added his second and Celtic’s third on 44 minutes to restore the Bhoys two-goal lead. It is 3-1 to the champions at Hampden Park.
