HUMZA YOUSAF has tonight slammed the scenes at Celtic Park tonight. Angry supporters made their way to the stadium after Celtic were knocked out of the League Cup by across County — supporters venting their frustrations at what’s transpiring at Celtic Park under the watch of Peter Lawwell and Neil Lennon.
The protest clearly went too far. Turning up would have been enough of a protest but it will now be open season on the Celtic support because some people took it too far. Why some felt the need to break down barriers and throw some pretty shocking insults towards members of the club can’t be condoned.
Given this also went on while we’re on a tier 4 lockdown for the virus, it’s made the fans an easy target.
Utterly disgraceful scenes outside of Celtic Park from a minority of fans tonight with violence aimed towards Police. Officers have been front & centre keeping us safe during this pandemic, to treat them this way at any time is shameful, to do it during these times is a disgrace.

Neil Lennon’s tenure at the club hangs by a thread tonight with the club remaining silent on it.
This has been the problem all along. The lack of transparency inside the club with Lawwell using certain media outlets to get his message out rather than addressing the support openly and honestly.
As we sit at 8pm this evening, still, there has been no word from the club on the result or the protest after the game where players and media had to be escorted out of the stadium.
