NEIL LENNON and Celtic were attacked this week by a West Brom director who didn’t even have the respect, decency or for lack of a better word, balls to go to the club directly about his apparent grievance.

Weasel, Luke Dowling took to the media to have a go at Celtic for not using their player on-loan as much as they should’ve and slammed Neil Lennon’s part in proceedings. Celtic felt compelled to release a statement on the matter but they never really needed to respond because Oli Burke had already done the job for them when he left.

Upon departing the club after the Scottish Cup final the player wrote this on his social media:

Wow! What can I say. What an amazing club to have been apart of! Such a fantastic bunch of bhoys and staff?I really want to thank everybody for all there support. It’s been a real privilege to be apart of! #celticfamily #hailhail

A man well and truly irked by his treatment at the club!

Dowling, speaking like a scorned lover has a lot to do with Celtic courting their player Rekeem Harper at the end of last season. Harper was a VIP guest at Celtic Park on trophy day with the club showing an interest in the West Brom midfielder who is free to leave the Hawthorns. Nothing has come of that visit to this point but you would have to be stupid to think Dowling bashing Neil Lennon’s ability to play young players was a direct response to that visit.
