Alistair Johnston was brought off injured in today’s Glasgow derby in which Celtic and Ange Postecoglou ran out 1-0 victors.

Jota netted the only goal of the game just before half time yet ten minutes after the break, Canadian right back Johnston had to be withdrawn through injury.

Anthony Ralston came on and put in a more than sufficient performance although the injury to Johnston will fill Celtic fans with a lot of anxiety.

Nevertheless after the match, the 24 year old was caught up in the emotions of the celebrations and was seen waving his crutches up and down in jubilation:

From these scenes, Johnston certainly looks alright but it is fair to say one can get caught up in the emotion and adrenaline of celebrations following a massive win.

This is likely what has happened with Johnston here.

Should the right back remain out, though, as proved today, Ralston will prove a more than ample stand in.
