The media have tried to create an illusion over the past two weeks that games between Celtic and Motherwell have been close. The stats spoke for themselves. Celtic had 30 shots on target in the first two games.

Today those shots on target gave a better goal ratio as Celtic ran away 5-1 winners. The truth is it could have been a lot-lot more. Rodgers team selection raised a few eyebrows. He made some big calls with Edouard, Hayes, and Ajer getting a rare call-up. Ntcham and Edouard were superb today. Edouard backs up that statement with a hat-trick.

Kieran Tierney was also outstanding, some of his cross ball were something to behold. James Forrest came off the bench to grab a brace. The truth is it could have been a lot more and Gordon struggled to keep warm with the lack of action.

Celtic open up a 7 point gap at the top of the table and it’s Champions League action next on Tuesday evening when the hoops look to secure European football for 2018.

67 and counting!

  1. History repeating itself …Just like we did in the ‘70’s when we had been turned over by Pettigrew and co at Motherwell and Big Shuggie Edvaldson and others sorted them out at Parkhead.

BBC lost interest in the game today when we went four ahead. Broadcast switched to anywhere else other than Celtic Park. No mention of the significance of 67. Their bias can’t be any more obvious.
    Hail Hail
