Eseosa Sule, a 16–year–old striker from Celtic‘s youth rank, has opted to transfer to West Brom in the English Championship. [RecordSport]
After signing his first professional contract with Celtic in the summer, the Scots–born Nigerian has agreed to a deal with the Midlands club.
Â
Sule will join the list of former Celtic youth players, like Ben Doak (Liverpool) and Liam Morrison and Barry Hepburn (Bayern Munich), who have moved on after making a mark in the Parkhead academy.
He travelled south this afternoon to sign the agreement.Â
Celtic supporters likely haven‘t had much exposure to the player, so his departure will not be a significant blow. The club has successfully held onto its young talent in recent months, and Ange is building a more stable path to the first team.Â
The bhoys have also received a fee for the player which will likely be reinvested in the youth academy.
