The Daily Record ran a story today about Aberdeen’s guard of honour for Celtic on Saturday afternoon with a slant I don’t think any bhoys fans will care too much about.
The red top newspaper pointed out that former Ibrox player Ross McCrorie didn’t clap Celtic onto the pitch like some of his other teammates.
The paper almost seemed to revel and want to point this out to give Ross staunch points on the day. It led to the usual suspects on social media applauding McCrorie for not applauding the champions.
Graeme Shinnie also didn’t fancy it. Both stood in the guard to be fair to them.

Our Celtic Guard of Honour verdict
The whole guard of honour nonsense has become so media led and forced it’s become nauseating. From clubs not giving others guards of honour to pointing out individual performances during one – it’s all a bit pathetic.
McCorie stood in the guard of honour and if he doesn’t want to clap because he supports another side that didn’t win the league, that’s his prerogative.
It’s safe to say Ross and his side got a football lesson from the champions on Saturday afternoon.
Aberdeen had a great resurgence under Barry Robson this year, and Celtic are worthy champions. Let’s talk about those two stories, not media made nonsense like this!
More pain, it’s an absolute taste of heaven from the club and fans, (including their media hacks), that keep on giving, whilst Celtic really stepped up to the plate, “Champions, that’s who we are ! “
All it highlights and shows is the depth of bigotry that is installed in their players at a certain Glasgow club and in general with some payers who obviously do not know that the world is changing and they will left in the wilderness.
