Brendan Rodgers has confirmed ongoing movement in the Celtic transfer window, with Gustaf Lagerbielke completing a permanent switch to Braga and Nicolas Kühn close to finalising a move to Serie A side Como.

The centre-back, who joined Celtic in the summer of 2023 from Elfsborg, never managed to cement a regular place in the starting eleven and spent the last season on loan at FC Twente. Celtic are believed to have banked around €2.5 million from the deal.
Meanwhile, Kühn has travelled to Italy to complete his move to Como. The winger arrived at Parkhead in January 2024 from Rapid Wien. Despite some flashes of quality, Kühn is now set to exit the club, with reports suggesting Celtic could make a sizeable profit from his sale.
Brendan Rodgers addressed the ongoing transfer activity , making clear the club are actively working on further business.
He said: (RecordSport), “There is lot of work going on in the background and things that are what we’re hoping to achieve over the coming weeks.
“We definitely need that there, especially at the top end of the pitch. But no, a lot of work going on but I can’t confirm that there’s anything there at this moment.
“Those international boys, they’ve now got the run-in, so it will be their first action at the weekend.”
Rodgers’ comments make it clear Celtic are still looking to add more players, especially up front. With Kühn on his way out, the attacking options have been noticeably reduced.
The Irishman will be looking to bring in quality additions capable of making an immediate impact. The club has already moved early in the window with the additions of Kieran Tierney, Ross Doohan, Benjamin Nygren, and Hayato Inamura
But with Champions League qualifiers looming and the domestic campaign fast approaching, the pressure is on to land key targets swiftly and ensure the squad is ready for the challenges ahead.

They’ll bring in the 1.5m striker from the J League -Shin Yamuda – and maybe a couple of other unknowns at knock down prices. No serious money will be spent this window – that’s now pretty obvious.
I’m glad we have you there on the inside! 👍
I’ve no doubt your superior knowledge over the board’s will keep them right, and who knows! We might even finally win something after all these years of drought! 🤷🏼♂️
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but maybe IQ also plays a part in someone who thinks this Board is even remotely supporting Brendan’s ambition to bring quality into the squad this window. You wouldn’t be Peter Lawwell using as pseudonym by any chance?
