REPORTED Celtic Target Bryan Oviedo has opened up about a potential move away from Sunderland after being linked with a Sunderland exit over the past 48-hours.
The left back’s future has been up in the air with many speculating Sunderland would be open to letting Bryan go, even though he is a first-team star.
However, the Costa Rican is having none of it and says he expects to stay at the Stadium of Light at least until the end of the season.
“For the time being I remain with the team and I want to help the as much as I can for their promotion to the second division.” the defender told Columbia FM. “Here I feel good and my family is comfortable. Only God knows what may happen in the next few days.”
Oviedo, formerly of Copenhagen and Everton has been playing for Jack Ross’ side as they look to gain promotion from League One. The player hasn’t completely ruled out a move away but it seems unlikely.
In other news, Lewis Morgan had a medical at Sunderland yesterday and should join up with his old St Mirren boss down south for the rest of the season where he will hopefully see some significant game time.
