After reports emanated from Australia yesterday about the potential interest in Celtic star Tom Rogic, his representative Daniel Berman has had his say.

Rogic who has had a stop/start season with injuries and going off to play in the Asian Cup back in January signed a five-year deal with the club last season and has shown his commitment to Celtic in a big way.

However, that didn’t stop reports from surfacing that Leicester and Southampton are both looking into bringing the player in this summer. Brendan Rodgers looking at him is a very lazy link to make and Southampton have always looked at Celtic as a source for great players.

But anybody from Southampton or Leicester may be disappointed with what Tom’s agent has had to say about the rumours.

Speaking to Recordsport, Berman said: “I’ve had no contact from Southampton or Leicester.

The agent followed it up by declaring how happy the midfielder is at Celtic, much to the delight of the fans.

“Tom is on a long contract, is winning trophies, respects and loves the institution that is Celtic Football Club.”

Tom has not had the most vintage season he’s had at the club this term but he will be a big player going forward. Every Celtic player has their price, of course, but the club will be in no hurry to part ways with the Australian.
