CELTIC are on the brink of clinching a deal for Luis Palma, with Aris Salonika poised to accept the Scottish club’s improved offer.

Brendan Rodgers is set to break the Greek club’s transfer record with a €5m (£4.3m) bid for the 23-year-old winger.

The pursuit of Palma hasn’t been straightforward for Celtic, as they faced stiff competition from clubs in Saudi Arabia. These clubs were prepared to offer a more lucrative package for the young talent. However, Palma’s desire to remain in Europe and play Champions League football tilted the scales in favour of a move to Glasgow.

Celtic’s initial €4m bid for Palma was turned down by Aris Salonika. But, undeterred, the Scottish giants returned with an enhanced offer, which seems to have done the trick.

As per reports from Sportime, this development means Palma will be absent from Aris Salonika’s upcoming match against Lamia, as he edges closer to finalising his move to Parkhead.

The addition of Palma to Celtic’s ranks will undoubtedly bolster their attacking options, providing Rodgers with more depth and versatility on the flanks. Fans will be eagerly anticipating the official announcement and will hope that Palma can make an immediate impact in the famous green and white jersey.
