LEIGH GRIFFITHS has found a new club after he was released from Falkirk when his contract expired in June.

The former Celtic player has signed for Australian third division side Mandurah City FC. It’s a funny one; Griffiths will feature in two home games with four games remaining in the season. These home games will take place on August 27th and September 3rd.

Presumably, he’ll be using these games as a trial ahead of the new season when he’ll wish for a contract.

After League 2 clubs decided against signing the player, he’ll be happy to find a club anywhere.

It’s a strange move for sure that’s caught many by surprise.

The Best Move for Leigh Griffiths

For Leigh, it will be good to get out of Scotland. For the sake of his future, he needs to get his head down and work. His days in the game are limited now. Although, moving to a third-division team on the other side of the planet for two games does seem a bit bizarre.
