Neil Lennon has singled out a certain duo for praise after Celtic’s comfortable 3-0 victory over Hamilton Accies at New Douglas Park yesterday.

As quoted by the Daily Record, Lennon has reserved praise for both Leigh Griffiths and Odsonne Edouard after both continued to impress alongside one and other in the front two with both getting on the score sheet in the win against Hamilton.

“It’s the best we’ve played for a while and the body language of the players was excellent. It’s a great three points for us.

“I thought Odsonne looked great today, the best he’s looked for a while.

“He looked free and his quality was there for everyone to see. The whole team functioned well, I couldn’t fault any of them. I’m pleased with the partnership of Odsonne and Leigh, they’ve come together again at a good time.

“They showed great link-up play for Leigh’s first chance in the game, which the keeper saved – then he was unlucky with a header off the post. But we’re getting the ball into the right areas for them now and we’re looking more potent.

“There’s a good fluency about our passing and movement again. There’s a lot to be encouraged about but there’s still work to do”

The last two fixtures, the starting duo have returned up front together and have continued to impress, scoring three goals between each other in the last two games.

Some of our best football under Neil Lennon came earlier this year when Griffiths and Edouard playing together in the three at the back-formation.

Lennon has now found a new way of both getting into the side and is currently reaping the rewards with a good performance by both players in the game yesterday.

It will certainly be interesting to see if the Northern Irishman continues with this formation to get them into the side. At this stage, it seems like our best hope to get them and the side back firing.
