Celtic look to have made their money back in the sale of defender Jack Hendry to Belgian side Oostende.

This afternoon, the club confirmed that the 25-year old had completed his permanent switch to Oostende after an impressive spell on loan there last season.

As reported by the Daily Record, with Oostende taking up their option to buy, it is thought that the Hoops made their money back in the deal from the purchase of the defender from Dundee back in 2019.

After agreeing terms with the Scotland internationalist, the report also states that the Belgian club is set to pay a £1.5 million fee that is due.

Oostende is also aware of interest elsewhere in Europe for Hendry and could look to make a healthy profit by selling him on.

This time last year, not many fans would have expected Hendry to be in this position. Now he has moved on from the Hoops; we wish him all the best in future.
