Former Celtic academy player and star of Open Goal, Si Ferry, has urged Neil Lennon to ‘do it his way’ and rediscover himself, rather than reverting to the ways of Brendan Rodgers.

Speaking on Go Radio, Ferry claims that training sessions are still based on the ways that former manager Brendan Rodgers implemented on the side and has said the Northern Irishman should go back to the way he wants to do things.

“He went back to his old ways but it seems to me again it’s back to the Brendan Rodgers style.

“I know they still do Brendan Rodgers training, which worries me.

“If you’re the manager you can’t be doing someone else’s thing you need to do what you want to do. If he’s going to go out, he needs to do it in his own way.

“Whether he’s doing that or not with the people that are behind him I don’t know.”

Under Brendan Rodgers, the hoops seemed to be unstoppable at times, playing an attractive brand of passing football. However, there were spells where things went a little turgid.

That being said, it is clear that the now Leicester boss’ methods worked and provided us with great success.

Ferry is right with his claim if it’s true; Lennon needs to stick to his way of thinking.

But at this stage it might be too late, this should have been done a long time ago. I’m sure we would all love Lenny to turn this around but sadly it’s running out of time and something needs to change.
