Celtic Star Kyogo Furuhashi has provided Hoops supporters with a positive injury update, as he praised the club’s medical staff for getting him back to action so quickly.

During the last international break – Postecoglou’s side were hit with a blow, as the striker who has started off life in Glasgow on fire and taken the league by storm, picked up an injury whilst playing for his nation.

After just recently recovering from that knee injury sustained last month, Kyogo once again heads out on international duty to meet up with Japan, which has left many supporters concerned about the star man picking up another knock.

However, as quoted by Sun Sport – Furuhashi has insisted there are no issues with his knee now and praised the Celtic staff which helped him recover in time for another international trip.

He said: “There is no problem at all now with my knee.

“And for that, I must thank the people at my club for their cooperation and support so that I have been able to return quickly. I am grateful for them.

“I know there has been a lot of talk about what is my best position for Japan. In my opinion, it’s important not to just stick to a fixed position, If you can play your own way and do your own thing, it can be good for the team.

“What matters is not where I play, but collecting wins for Japan in two very important games for us.

“Personally, I enjoy this kind of pressure. I can only hope I can contribute to the team by doing the best I can and playing well.

“Hopefully, it will help us go a long way to qualifying for the World Cup.”

With the injury issues we have had this season, it is no wonder that supporters are simply praying that the Celtic players involved on international duty don’t pick up even more unneeded problems.

Fingers crossed we don’t have to be reporting on any first-team stars getting knocks during the next week or so.
