Celtic are pressing ahead with their plans to freshen up the squad and Neil Lennon is confident there are more signings on the way.

Speaking to CelticTV on Tuesday afternoon the Celtic manager made it very clear his squad is set to become stronger.

“We’re close to bringing in some more players so the squad is getting stronger all the time”

This comes off the back of the Celtic boss also admitting he called off a trial for right-back Danny Simpson because he was close to bringing in ‘players’ in his position.

With the Hatem deal just waiting on international clearance, Lennon seems certain he has more on the way.

Great news for the fans who are desperate to see more reinforcements arrive before the start of the domestic season.

Christopher Jullien, Luca Connell and Boli Bolingoli are Celtic’s three officially confirmed signings to date. Their fees already taking Celtic’s spending to around the £10m mark.

  1. Where are the quality signings? Only seen one of them play so only one new face IMO. Is Luca Connell going to get much game time? Another CB bought to be played at RB. Yeah we certainly are attracting “quality” (cries of who? where from? how much?) under our new manager! Get the finger out and stop gambling without a settled defence for European games. Targets should have been sought well in advance and bought for pre-season training. Same old Celtic … wait and see. BTW KT will be with us this season (and maybe more)as surely he wouldn’t pass any of the teams medical at that price. Must be Celtic’s main fear at the moment! COYBIG
